Trap Shooting & Archery

Trap shooting is available Monday through Saturday at 12:30 PM and 4:30 PM. Trap times are limited to five people per shoot. All ages are welcome: we have a kids’ sized single shot, bolt action .22 rifle for young children interested in learning about gun safety and working on their target practice, as well as a full sized bolt action .22 for adults, and 12 gauge shot guns for shooting trap. Trap shooting is $35.00 for initial box (25 rounds).

Archery is a complimentary activity at the ranch, using compound bows. It is offered Monday-Saturday at 12:30 PM and 4:30 PM.

All necessary equipment for on-ranch activities is provided for your convenience.

Over the long and rich course of our history, the C Lazy U was the only guest ranch in North America to attain both the celebrated Five-Diamond and Five-Star ratings. However, due to changes in the grading system that would require us to incorporate certain commercial aspects to maintain our status, we have opted out as a rated resort since we felt those did not complement our unique western atmosphere. We are proud of our five star legacy and continue to honor its exceptional standards with what we term five "spur" service.

A portion of this operation is conducted on the Arapahoe National Forest under a special use permit from the U. S. Bureau of Land Management and the U. S. Forest Service.
