At this time we are not sure Barbra Schulte will be able to join the retreat due to unforeseen personal circumstances. We will update this page as soon as we know for sure. In the meantime, the event will go on as schedule with Julie Gooding leading.

May Horseback Riding: What to Expect

  • No horseback riding on check-in and check-out days.
  • In May, trail conditions determine whether trotting and/or loping is allowed. Wranglers will make the call for the safety of horses and guests.
  • This event does not include cattle working. If you are interested in our Cattle Sorting Clinic, consider booking one of our week-long summer stays occurring mid-June to mid-August.

Join renowned horsewomen Julie Goodnight for a five-day, four-night transformational retreat at the stunning C Lazy U Ranch. This immersive experience blends expert horsemanship guidance, trail riding adventures, and personal growth in an atmosphere of luxury, camaraderie, and natural beauty.

Each day unfolds with thoughtful intention, combining empowerment workshops, multiple riding opportunities, and trail time that connects you with nature and your horse. From the Horse's Mouth

We arrived late at night and received the warmest welcome of any vacation experience we have ever had. We were a little lost, it was dark but someone walked up to our car in the freezing cold (I think it was Taylor, the night manager) and said "Hello, we have been waiting for your arrival. Welcome Borsari family. You must be hungry, we have your plates waiting for you upstairs. Come on up to the lodge when you are ready and we will have your dinner waiting. Don't worry about checking in, we can take care of all that tomorrow. Come and get warmed up." My husband and I actually wanted to cry. LOL! we were all starving and he read our minds. The welcome was the warmest we have ever received, anywhere.
