Fall Horseback Riding: What to Expect

  • No horseback riding on check-in and check-out days.
  • Trail rides in fall are typically walk-only or walk-trot when conditions permit.
  • This event does not include cattle working. If you are interested in our Cattle Sorting Clinic, consider booking one of our week-long summer stays occurring mid-June to mid-August.

Want to get out of town and maybe catch some early-season powder? Head up to C Lazy U Ranch for a November family getaway!

Join us for a rare 2-night minimum stay and enjoy gourmet food, luxury lodging, horseback riding and lots of ranch activities! Depending on the weather, you could enjoy snow tubing and cross-country skiing, but if there’s not enough snow, we still offer hiking and mountain biking! Riding out on the feedwagon to throw hay to the horses is a favorite activity for the whole family as well. During inclement weather, you can participate in archery and hatchet throwing in our heated indoor arena. We have lots to do in any season, and most of the activities are included in your package. Optionally you can visit our award-winning spa, go trap shooting or get a bird’s eye view of the ranch via the zipline (weather dependent).

This special won’t last, so book today!

From the Horse's Mouth

I can't say enough about your staff. Jackson greeted us as soon as we pulled in. All of the servers were helpful, engaging, and they had an uncanny way of anticipating our every need. Trent must have a superpower because he never seemed to tire of us and our endless requests. He has a terrific sense of humor, and his name recall was outstanding. Peyton killed it with the karaoke (and he probably never wants to hear “Sweet Caroline” for the rest of his life.) He fit right in and had only been on the ranch for 3 days. I enjoyed the shooting time with him and Jackson. And the biggest shoutout to Trevor – hiker extraordinaire. If we'd asked him to take us 15 more miles, he would have done it with a smile. He appeared like magic the morning we left and was able to charge our completely dead car battery so that we could still make our flight. We would not have made it without him. The property is gorgeous, and the staff is over the top. The food, wine and drinks were outstanding. I hope to return next time with my family, though I'd repeat my girls' weekend in a minute.
