the Feed Wagon activity at C Lazy U Ranch

Get an early start to winter and head up the mountain for a dude ranch getaway in early December! Join us for a rare 2-night minimum stay and enjoy gourmet food, luxury lodging, horseback riding and lots of ranch activities! Depending on the weather, you could enjoy snow tubing and cross-country skiing, plus we offer complimentary shuttles to nearby ski resorts.

Outdoor activities that don’t require snow include guided hiking and mountain biking, plus jumping on the feedwagon for an early-morning visit to the horses is a favorite activity for the whole family. During inclement weather, you can participate in archery and hatchet throwing in our heated indoor arena. We have lots to do in any season, and most of the activities are included in your package. Optionally you can visit our award-winning spa, go trap shooting or get a bird’s eye view of the ranch via the zipline.

From the Horse's Mouth

Natalie taught us how to ride horses; her instruction was clear, gentle, and kind. She taught us the similarities and differences between English and Western riding. We loved our time with the horses, but especially because Natalie helped us understand how to best interact with the horses. Natalie also helped us on the Feed Wagon ride, which was particularly special for us, because we got to feed horses, watch them eat, and watch them follow the feed wagon. Many thanks to Natalie for helping make this part of our stay magical.
