Cross-Country Skiing Vacation

During the winter months, when C Lazy U transforms into a snowy sanctuary, quiet settles over the ranch you can experience a real cross-country ski vacation. Experience the majesty of these serene surroundings — its sprawling fields, snowcapped Rocky Mountain backdrop and sparkling frozen waters — by going on a cross-country ski adventure where you can explore the ranch at your own speed.

Traverse C Lazy U Ranch’s four miles of groomed cross-country ski trails, which meander through the main meadow and on the upper mesa for exceptional views of the mountain range and the ranch below.

  • Solo cross-country trips are available for adventurous guests who want to head out on the trail alone.
  • Guided tours are also available for those who want to learn more about the animals and nature around the ranch during the winter months.

While cross-country skiing, you may spot elusive red foxes, elk herds, and, if you’re lucky, a bald eagle soaring in the sky. With the slow pace of cross-country skiing, you can truly enjoy the wonderful sights that C Lazy U has to offer.

All cross-country skiing equipment is provided and coordinated through the Activity Center.

The housekeeping staff was so through! I really appreciate them taking the time and energy to keep the facilities top notch! Additionally, the humidifiers were a life saver for us.
