Inspired by Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Café, this acoustic concert offers an intimate evening with Monty and Anna as they share the songs they’ve written for country music legends—interwoven with the stories behind the lyrics. Their compelling storytelling and soulful vocals invite laughter, tears, and a deep appreciation for the power of a song.
Songwriting Workshop (Optional)
Guided by these hitmakers, you’ll learn the art of idea generation, creative unblocking, and group collaboration in a fun, supportive environment. By weekend’s end, you’ll have co-created a completely original song—a musical keepsake of your C Lazy U experience.

Monty Powell is a Grammy-nominated, award-winning songwriter whose songs have been recorded by some of the biggest names in country music—and whose career spans decades of chart-topping success. He is best known for his long-time collaboration with Keith Urban, with whom he’s penned eight singles and 14 album cuts, including hits like:

Anna Wilson

Anna Wilson is a critically acclaimed recording artist and award-winning songwriter whose genre-spanning career has earned her praise from fans and critics alike. Described by Jazz Times as having a voice like “crème de cocoa,” Wilson has released seven studio albums over three decades, blending jazz, country, and Americana with a distinctive and soulful style.
Her groundbreaking album Countrypolitan Duets—which earned top spots on the U.S. and Canadian jazz charts—features collaborations with legends like Kenny Rogers, Ray Price, and Keith Urban. Wilson has shared stages with renowned artists including Josh Groban, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Al Jarreau, and Shawn Colvin, and has performed multiple times at the Grand Ole Opry.
As an ASCAP award-winning songwriter, her work has appeared on over seven million RIAA-certified records for artists such as Lady A, Reba McEntire, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Chris Cagle. Her songwriting accolades include:
