Download Press Release as PDF fileDENVER, Colo. – April 9, 2013 – 2012 was a landmark year Colorado’s premier guest ranch, C Lazy U. Due in part to its beautiful location and numerous capital improvements, executive retreats and group events doubled year-over-year from 2011 at the 94-year-old C Lazy U ranch, and the growth is expected to continue into 2013.

“Recent studies indicate that spending active time outdoors, and away from electronic devices improves creativity and problem solving by as much as 50 percent,” said David Craig, General Manager of C Lazy U. “While we offer state of the art meeting technology and amenities to hold effective and successful meetings and corporate retreats, we also offer our groups an extraordinary beautiful setting and wholesome activities that improve team building and reduce the stresses of everyday life.”

In addition to its unparalleled natural setting, C Lazy U’s commitment to excellence is reflected in the property’s continual upgrades and renovations. Over the past five years, C Lazy U has been working diligently to complete property-wide upgrades, including upgrading meeting facilities and services; adding a rope course and zip line, especially popular for team building exercises; and, purchasing a new Belgian draft horse team to offer unique activities for groups such as sleigh and hay rides as well as a distinctive amenity for other ranch events and weddings. All 38 guest accommodations recently underwent a full renovation, which is nearly complete. The Sunset Cabins will be complete in time for this year’s first corporate event in April, kicking off the ranch’s jam-packed calendar.

C Lazy U can accommodate groups up to 80 participants, and groups of 40 or more have the option of booking the Ranch exclusively. Offering a variety of multi-purpose spaces capable of handling most meeting requirements, C Lazy U also offers groups the opportunity to partake in unique team building activities, only possible in a secluded locale such as C Lazy U. From a ropes course and zip line, to horsemanship and cattle roping clinics to tee pee building and amazing race style scavenger hunts, C Lazy U offers out of the box team building activities.

From the Horse's Mouth

I'm still blissed out after our weekend at the ranch. Philip and I have traveled all over the state and truly, it was one of the best trips we've ever had. Thanks so much for extending the experience to us. Although ranch stays are trending and there are so many options in Colorado, I don't think I really understood the allure until visiting for myself. For one, I'm so glad we went in the wintertime. In chatting with the staff (who were all fabulous — service was a big stand-out feature), I got the impression that January-March is a quiet season. But man, are people missing out. We saw so much wildlife, enjoyed guided experiences with such intimate groups, and had a level of privacy I've never come across at an all-inclusive resort. The activities were abundant, the facilities and rental gear were high quality, and the food! The wine pairing dinner was an unexpected surprise and again, so intimate and enjoyable. The whole experience was such a treat. Thank you again. High praise all around. There's really so much to love about the destination.
