Spring Horseback Riding

As the snow melts and the Rockies burst into bloom and birdsongs fill the air, spring at C Lazy U Ranch offers a serene and picturesque setting for horseback riding…and mud. Lots of mud.

The ranch horses are some of our most valued staff members so the wranglers choose the trail with the best conditions for each ride. Our spring rides are designed to be leisurely, walk-only excursions that allow you to fully immerse yourself in the rejuvenating beauty of nature. Meander along lush, green trails as wildflowers bloom and wildlife awakens from its winter slumber.

In addition to these leisurely rides, spring is also a season of vibrant activity at the ranch, with several horse-assisted wellness events that celebrate the spirit of horses and humans alike.

Fall Horseback Riding

Fall at C Lazy U Ranch is a season of breathtaking beauty and exhilarating rides. As the leaves turn to rich hues of yellow, orange, and gold, the trails transform into a stunning tapestry of autumn colors.

Our fall rides are mostly walk-only, however conditions may offer the opportunity to enjoy both walk and trot rides. Loping is typically not offered unless part of a specialized horse clinic.

This season is also brimming with special horse events that showcase the skills and talents of both our guests and equine friends. Whether you’re participating in a Julie Goodnight clinic or simply enjoying a scenic trot through the crisp, fall air, the ranch provides a perfect blend of relaxation and activity amidst the splendor of autumn.

From the Horse's Mouth

We arrived late at night and received the warmest welcome of any vacation experience we have ever had. We were a little lost, it was dark but someone walked up to our car in the freezing cold (I think it was Taylor, the night manager) and said "Hello, we have been waiting for your arrival. Welcome Borsari family. You must be hungry, we have your plates waiting for you upstairs. Come on up to the lodge when you are ready and we will have your dinner waiting. Don't worry about checking in, we can take care of all that tomorrow. Come and get warmed up." My husband and I actually wanted to cry. LOL! we were all starving and he read our minds. The welcome was the warmest we have ever received, anywhere.
