Featured Winery: Amizetta Family Estate & William Perry (Formerly William Harrison Winery)

This March, C Lazy U Ranch is proud to welcome Amizetta Family Estate Wines as our featured vintner. Nestled along the eastern foothills of the Vaca Mountains in California’s famed Napa Valley, the family’s Rutherford estate captures the essence of Napa Valley terroir. Gravelly, sandy soils shaped by the Napa River and underpinned by volcanic rock create the foundation for wines of depth and elegance.
This year also marks a meaningful new chapter for a beloved Napa property. For more than three decades, William Harrison Winery stood as a Rutherford gem, founded by Bill Harrison in 1985 and cherished for its rustic charm and handcrafted wines. As Bill steps back, his legacy now continues under the stewardship of two Napa families deeply rooted in the valley: the Clarks of Amizetta Vineyards and the Bystrowskis of David Arthur Vineyards. Together, they carry forward the traditions of William Harrison while ushering in an exciting new era under the name William Perry.
Guests at the March Wine & Dine weekend will have the rare opportunity to taste wines that honor both the storied history of William Harrison and the innovative vision of Amizetta and William Perry. It’s a celebration of Napa heritage, resilience, and the artistry that defines Rutherford winemaking.

Winter Horseback Riding: What to Expect
- No horseback riding on check-in and check-out days.
- Winter rides are walk-only for the safety of both horses and guests.
- Winter horseback riding trails are more limited due to the winter snow and are maintained by the horses consistently walking them to keep the trails packed and usable. Because of this, the ranch designates trails for winter riding that are closer to the main ranch compound, and with the winter elements these are typically shorter loops. If you want to explore more of the ranch’s 8500+ acres in the winter you may wish to consider a snowmobile tour or a visit during our warmer months where all the trails are open.
While the culinary delights will still be a highlight, this special event will focus on the exquisite wines from Amizetta and William Perry. With a focus on small yields and meticulous care, the vineyard produces expressive Bordeaux-style wines, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and their signature Rutherford Reserve blend.
Don’t miss this unforgettable event, where fine wine meets unparalleled western hospitality. Reserve your spot today for a weekend of delicious food and wine, education and camaraderie from two partners-in-wine and in life, and the renowned service at C Lazy U Ranch.
In addition to the culinary delights, guests can participate in all the usual ranch activities, including horseback riding both indoors and out, snow sports and a Fire & Ice Event on Friday.
To top it all off, guests can unwind and relax in the cozy elegant cabin accommodations. With so many amazing activities to choose from, you are sure to have an unforgettable Wine & Dine experience at C Lazy U Ranch.
