Download Press Release as PDF fileGRANBY, Colo. – (Sept. 10, 2013) – New this season, C Lazy U Guest Ranch is pleased to announce the launch of nightly winter à la carte pricing, perfect for families that would like more spacious accommodations and the opportunity to partake in their choice of winter activities, both on and offsite. With a collection of various sized cabin accommodations, fine dining, a full-service “Lazy You” spa and 8,500 acres of adventure, families will never run out of things to do, but can now pick and choose the activities and offerings in which they’re interested, rather than simply selecting the all-inclusive pricing option.

“We’re excited to launch this new offering,” said David Craig, general manager. “Often, our guests seek out C Lazy U for its cozy cabin accommodations and seemingly endless winter activities, but also want to spend time at nearby ski resorts. Now, we’re making it easier for them, by allowing guests to select – and pay for – only the specific activities and meals they’d like to enjoy onsite.”

Colorado’s premier guest ranch is known for its “5-Spur Service,” and offers much more than the standard ski hotel or condo. The Ranch features private snowcat skiing for all ability levels on its onsite ski hill, Mt. Baldy, and is also located minutes from Winter Park and Granby Ranch ski resorts. Guests can now both ski the Ranch and enjoy skiing elsewhere, as a complimentary daily shuttle to and from the Ranch and both resorts is included.

Nightly rates start at $249, double occupancy. Guests also have access, if desired and for an extra cost, to three meals daily, the onsite spa, as well as activities including trap shooting, horseback riding, tubing, sledding, ice skating, ice hockey, private downhill skiing and snowmobiling.

The Ranch recently launched the Outlaw Fitness and Wellness program, created by health and fitness expert Tammy Reno, C Lazy U’s new spa and fitness coordinator. Reno’s extensive experience brings a diverse range of services to the program, and allows guests to enjoy offerings including massage, yoga, fitness training and boot camps.

Reno brings more than 13 years of industry experience to the Fitness and Wellness program. With a B.A. in Health & Fitness, an M.A. in Kinesiology, a Master of Fitness Certification, and experience owning and operating her own fitness studio for more than a decade, Reno has greatly expanded the program offerings at the “Lazy You” Spa.

“With guests’ utmost wellbeing in mind, Tammy is proving to be an invaluable asset our team, and to the new Outlaw Fitness and Wellness program. The recently launched Outlaw Fitness and Wellness program offers guests 60-minute yoga classes, personal training sessions and fitness classes during their stays. The website, created by web designer Margaret Pickard, includes a new, more visually-appealing design; “hot buttons,” directing guests to popular items, and making information easier to find; and a new hosting platform that allows for easier updating, optimal integration into current web browsing systems, and allows visitors the capability to subscribe to updates, in order to receive timely content from the Ranch.

“From a design perspective, we opted to keep the overall look and feel of C Lazy U’s previous website,” said Pickard. “However, we modernized the user interface and back-end technology, and made it slightly more sleek and cohesive.”

Additionally, with the launch of the new site, the Ranch is also introducing mobile-friendly templates for those browsing the site on smartphones and tablet devices. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay-Per-Click advertising will also be increased.

Craig joins C Lazy U with 26 years of diverse hospitality experience, including high-level positions with resorts, luxury hotels and membership clubs.

“I am extremely excited to once again serve as the general manager at one of the top lodging properties in Colorado,” said Craig. “C Lazy U has long been known for its ‘5-Spur Service,’ and I’m looking forward to utilizing my experience to continue to offer guests that high level of hospitality.”

Craig has a long and established history with C Lazy U. Most recently, he served as senior vice president at the luxury vacation club Inspirato, whose premier lodging offerings include C Lazy U. Prior to that, he honed his five-star hospitality and service skills in the role of general manager at Denver’s celebrated luxury boutique hotel, Hotel Teatro. During his tenure there, he briefly oversaw C Lazy U Ranch as well, while the ranch consulted with Hotel Teatro’s ownership group, DiNapoli Capital Partners. Previously, Craig held management roles at Aspen’s Hotel Jerome, Snowmass’ Stonebridge Inn and Denver’s Inverness Hotel Resort & Conference Center.

Craig serves as Chairman of the Board of the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association.

I love this ranch. So many activities offered and they really make an effort to make it a great week for parents and kids. Staff is so friendly and helpful. They treat the horses very well and you get a lot of horseback rides in. Plus the rooms are very comfortable. Overall great stay. Awesome place for family bonding.
