Kids ride in the Shodeo at C Lazy U, a family friendly ride that is the highlight of many family's horseback riding vacations!Our outdoor arena is the place to be on Friday afternoons when guests showcase their skills during the all-ages "Shodeo". With horseback riding a daily feature of life on the ranch, there's nothing like sharing the new mastery you acquire during the week. 

Everyone in the family will be practicing and preparing for the big "Shodeo" where they get to showcase their horse and compete in horseback riding contests and events. The kids are the stars of the show as they perform the skills they've acquired throughout the week.

Over the long and rich course of our history, the C Lazy U was the only guest ranch in North America to attain both the celebrated Five-Diamond and Five-Star ratings. However, due to changes in the grading system that would require us to incorporate certain commercial aspects to maintain our status, we have opted out as a rated resort since we felt those did not complement our unique western atmosphere. We are proud of our five star legacy and continue to honor its exceptional standards with what we term five "spur" service.

A portion of this operation is conducted on the Arapahoe National Forest under a special use permit from the U. S. Bureau of Land Management and the U. S. Forest Service.
