Teens explore the mountains on horseback during their horseback riding vacations at C Lazy U Ranch

The program for 13-17 year old kids is less supervised than for the younger kids, offering teens a sense of freedom and a choice of activities including:
  • Mountain exploration on horseback and a cow-cutting clinic
  • Overnight camp outs (equipment provided)
  • Rafting / Alpine slide at Winter Park ski area
  • A real rodeo off-ranch
  • Team building games and the ropes course
  • Fun and games on horseback such as hide and seek in the willows
  • Volleyball, Tennis, Archery & Horseshoes
  • Fishing
  • Capture the Flag
  • Shodeo, our family rodeo at the end of the week featuring competitive equestrian events
  • Swimming and/or our own C Lazy U Relay Race in pool, hot tub and a reservoir swim ride
  • Talent show, Family Horseback Rides and Family Cookout Night with Parents
  • The Lazy You spa welcomes teens!
  • Make lifelong friendships!

Over the long and rich course of our history, the C Lazy U was the only guest ranch in North America to attain both the celebrated Five-Diamond and Five-Star ratings. However, due to changes in the grading system that would require us to incorporate certain commercial aspects to maintain our status, we have opted out as a rated resort since we felt those did not complement our unique western atmosphere. We are proud of our five star legacy and continue to honor its exceptional standards with what we term five "spur" service.

A portion of this operation is conducted on the Arapahoe National Forest under a special use permit from the U. S. Bureau of Land Management and the U. S. Forest Service.
