Availability & Capacities

The ranch can comfortably accommodate groups of up to 80 participants, and exclusive retreat access can be yours for groups of 40 or more. Note: due to the popularity of the ranch as a family resort, we must limit our corporate retreats business to September through May.

Meeting Space

The ranch has a variety of multi-purpose spaces capable of handling most meeting requirements. The Patio House can accommodate up to 80 participants. The Main Lodge offers the Living Room as a gracious space for informal discussion and get-togethers. The adjacent Card Room is just the spot for a small executive conclave. Comfortably decorated suites provide additional space for breakout sessions. In addition, the terraces, fireside lounges and the bar are just right for hospitality and discussion.

More than anything, the ranch specializes in providing that very special environment in which to effectively combine business and pleasure. We are not a large convention resort and have no intention of being such, but we can give you the unmatched splendor of the Colorado mountains with the warmth and intimacy of a luxurious guest ranch.

Rates

Each of our group events is custom designed to properly accommodate your specific needs & objectives. It is important that we carefully understand what you have in mind for your event. Please allow us to provide you with an individualized proposal specific to your programming & agenda. Generally our rates are all-inclusive and provide everything from lodging, meals, meeting space, craft service, and most ranch activities. Unlike traditional conference facilities you will not expect up-charges for the use of services or facilities. Our rates will be presented to you in full package format.

The Ranch

Situated on over 8000 acres at 8200' in the Colorado high country, the C Lazy U Ranch offers the finest in guest ranch amenities and then some. The ranch kitchen has received national recognition for the consistent high quality and variety of its offerings. Meals are served family style with folks sitting 10 to a table in a room overlooking a wonderful expanse of mountains and meadows. This comfortable setting provides opportunity for further in-depth interaction. Special events such as cookouts and outdoor breakfasts highlight your stay at the ranch. We are happy to work with you in devising special menus to enhance your group experience.

A string of 180 horses awaits you here at the ranch. Nickering and full of energy, they make quite a sight being brought in off the outlying pastures in the early morning and returned late in the afternoon. Rides amble over spectacular terrain and are especially designed to recognize differences in riding ability. Experienced wranglers make your ride a safe, interesting and exciting experience.

Tennis players enjoy two competition-quality Laykold tennis courts. Tournaments and team-building events can easily be arranged. Shooters compete from our regulation trap range. Instruction and equipment are available.

Aching muscles and bruised egos rejuvenate themselves by way of massage therapy and use of our outdoor hot tub, and indoor exercise area. Golf is nearby in Grand Lake (25 mile drive), or Pole Creek, Headwaters Golf Course at Sol Vista or Grand Elk Golf Courses in nearby Granby.

Pond, lake and stream fishing satisfy the most discriminating sportsman. Beautiful Willow Creek runs for over a mile and a half through the ranch. Willow Creek Reservoir is a short 5 minute walk. Professional guide services lead interested parties to the secret backcountry beaver ponds and crystal clear streams. Fishing is for over five different species of trout, ranging from Lunker Canadian Mackinaw to small delicious native Cutthroat.

With the winter comes a full complement of available activities. Private snowcat skiing, ice skating, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, tubing, sledding, ice hockey, sleigh rides, and winter horseback riding are all available right here at the ranch.

Exceptional downhill skiing is only minutes away. Winter Park/Mary Jane is just 25 miles away by our complimentary daily shuttle service. Over 100 trails, 19 lifts and a 2200' vertical drop make Winter Park one of Colorado's major ski areas. Also SolVista, located only 10 miles from the ranch, has great facilities for the beginner and intermediate skier.
