The C Lazy U Ranch is covered in snow and ready to fulfill your cravings for outdoor fun! Winter vacations begin January 2nd and go through March 18th, with a 2-night minimum stay Thursday through Sunday.

Petey Paparazzi Photo Contest

Take a photo with Petey this spring or summer, and you could win a 2013 Summer Vacation at the C Lazy U Ranch!

Petey is always available for photo ops at the Ranch, and Colorado Rockies fans can also snap their photos with him at the games at Coors Field in April and May (opening day is April 9). Upload your best photo of you and Petey to our Facebook page sometime between now and the end of August 2012. We'll pick our favorite shot - from the game or the ranch - and whoever snapped it wins!

Julie Goodnight Horse & Yoga Clinic for Women

The C Lazy U, in cooperation with Julie Goodnight, have put together a riding and yoga retreat for women (May and October dates) and a ranch riding adventure for adult riders of all levels (September). Take advantage of discounted rates for world-class accommodations with programming, riding, and yoga included. Some participants will bring their own horses and others will use one of the great horses at the ranch.  

The clinic sessions are fun and productive with all riders and horses working at their own pace. Julie is there to make sure you have a good time, stay safe and learn something. Science Getaways at C Lazy U
September 16-21, 2012

Phil Plait, PhD, is our resident astronomer, and he’ll be giving lectures and taking out his 8-inch Celestron telescope every night to show guests the wonders to be seen in the incredibly dark sky above the ranch. Holly Brunkal, PhD, is a rock doc who will teach us about the geology of the Rocky Mountains and help us identify features of the landscape. Dave Armstrong, PhD is a biologist who will help us understand the complicated and beautiful Colorado ecosystems around the ranch. Holly and Dave will lead nature hikes to help guests experience all the things they’ve learned about. All three scientists are outgoing, friendly, and happy to answer your questions about their field!
